Decomposed Body Of UNN Student Mistaken for Unizik
Some weeks ago, a trending and disturbing video mis-captioned 'Decomposing body of UNIZIK student in her room after smoking weed', went viral on the virtual platform.
The internet became flooded with the strange death of lady in one lodges where students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University aka UNIZIK majorly reside.
The body of the deceased was discovered few days after she had died by neighbors who noticed influx of big flies towards her window.
The disturbing video prompted the security department of the school to launch a full scale investigation to unravel the true story behind the gruesome death.
Investigation by the securities at the deceased house at temporary site, formally called TEM SITE, adjacent to Classic Hotel along abakiliki road revealed her name as CHRYSTAL OGBUNANDO a pharmacy graduate of university of Nigeria Nsukka(UNN), who just concluded her internship at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital,Amaku Awka.
UNIZIK took to their website page to make openly that the student found dead wasn't a student of UNIZIK and further investigations disclosure that her death was possibly due to smoke or fume inhalation from her newly acquired generating set. According to report from securities, it was found out that the generating set was found at the balcony opposite her window which serves her only ventilation in her room.
Contrary to the trending misinformation that went few weeks ago, has been confirmed that the deceased was not a UNIZIK but a UNN student.
The remains of the deceased had since been evacuated and deposited at the morgue by the police from division B and the family have since been contacted.
